This product includes SpeedEDIT VT, a resolution-independent video editor designed to work quickly and efficiently on any video project, from web streams to High-Definition. SpeedEdit works smoothly whether you're editing HDV, MPEG-2, AVI, QuickTime, Flash or most popular video formats. Enjoy full resolution on-screen HD previews with realtime FireWire output through standard 1394 hardware and simultaneous (standard definition) analog output through the VTPro card. Unlike the stand alone (software only) version of SpeedEDIT, this product offers realtime analog video and audio capture and output for accurate color control and monitoring plus true batch capture. Output projects to any DVD or tape recorder in realtime with no rendering, encoding or extra steps necessary. Ulead DVD Workshop 2 is also included for advanced DVD authoring.

Rather than emulating the "old school" film-cutting workflow found in most non-linear editors, NewTek streamlines the editing process by eliminating many unnecessary steps. SpeedEDIT allows all editing functions to be performed directly within its unique timeline and storyboard interface avoiding the intermediate steps of transcoding or pre-trimming content.
