The default configuration provides simple contact closure to CCUs that supply their own tally light power, but this unit can also provide power to systems that require it with an optional external power supply.

This unit is only compatible with the NewTek SX-8 and SX-84 hardware, so it does not work with TriCaster or any third party switcher products. This module slaves to the SX-8 or SX-84 tally/GPI port to provide full VT[2]-VT[5] compatibility with all industry standard tally control systems.

The system can also power custom tally lights that are not designed into a CCU system, allowing the use of tally lights even with cameras designed for field use (not compatible with the built in record status light on field cameras).
